Welcome to NatraTag . Thanks for choosing us to help keep your pet safe. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) explain your rights and responsibilities when using our NFC-enabled dog collars and the related online services.

By accessing or using our website, purchasing our products, or using our NFC-based contact storage system (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our Services.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS COLLAR IS NOT DESIGNED FOR RESTRAINT PURPOSES

To ensure your dog’s safety, always use a properly rated harness or restraint collar when leashing or containing your pet. PLEASE READ Section 4 to have a complete understanding of the usage of the NatraTag Collar 

1. Who Can Use Our Services

To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian. You also agree to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws within the United States.

2. What We Provide

We provide NFC-enabled dog collars designed to store a link to your pet’s emergency contact information, which you manage through our website. The goal is to help good people return your pet if they’re lost.

We do not guarantee:

  • That a lost pet will be returned.
  • That a third party will scan the NFC tag.
  • That all data will be available 100% of the time (we rely on the internet and outside technology, which can experience outages).
  • That all third-party NFC readers will function properly.

This system is a helpful tool, not a replacement for responsible pet ownership.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Keep your emergency contact info up to date.
  • Not upload sensitive personal data (like SSNs, bank details, or medical info).
  • Use the collar safely and appropriately for your pet.

You are fully responsible for the information you provide and how you use our products.

4. Strength Disclaimer & Limitation of Use

This product is intended for identification and decorative use only. It is not designed, manufactured, or rated to withstand pulling forces or to serve as a load-bearing restraint device. Do not use this collar with a leash, tie-out, or any activity where strength or tensile resistance is required.

By purchasing or using this collar, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You understand the collar is not intended to hold back or restrain a dog.
  • NatraTag shall not be liable for any injuries, losses, or damages caused by misuse of the product, including but not limited to using the collar in situations involving leash walking, tie-outs, or physical restraint.
  • Any use of this collar beyond its intended decorative or identification purpose is at the user’s own risk.

5. Privacy & Data

We value your trust and take privacy seriously. Please read our full Privacy Policy for the details.

In short:

  • We do not sell your contact information.
  • We use basic analytics to improve our service.
  • We store emergency contact info solely to help return lost pets.
  • We implement reasonable security practices, but no system is completely hack-proof.
  • If you delete your account, your data will be removed from our system within a reasonable time.
6. Ownership and Content

All content on our website (logos, product descriptions, images, code, etc.) belongs to us or our content partners. You may not use it commercially without our written permission.

You retain ownership of your contact data and pet profiles — but you grant us a limited license to store and display that information when someone scans your pet’s tag.

7. Limitation of Liability

We’re a small business trying to do right by pets and their people. That said, to protect ourselves:

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable U.S. federal law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • If something goes wrong — such as lost data or a failed NFC scan — our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us, or $100, whichever is greater.
  • You use the collar and platform at your own risk.

We aim to be fair, but we can’t guarantee things outside our control.

8. Indemnification

If someone brings a claim against us because you violated these Terms or broke the law while using our Services, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless, including covering reasonable legal fees.

9. No Warranties

We provide the Services “as is” and “as available.” We make no guarantees about:

  • Collar functionality under all conditions.
  • Website uptime or continuous access.
  • NFC tag readability across all devices.

We strive for reliability, but we can’t promise perfection.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version on our website. Continuing to use our Services after changes means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

If a dispute arises, we’ll first attempt to resolve it informally. If we can’t reach a resolution, any legal action must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to this jurisdiction.
